These parts are take-offs from new Oakware electric freezer heads made to fit White Mountain freezers. The Amish shop disassembles a percentage of complete heads to provide White Mountain replacement parts. They will likely still have grease on the gear which is a special thick grease that you will want to keep and use in your assembly. They are not used.Â
We receive many requests just for the electric freezer replacement gears, which are not available as a set.
If you do need a complete gear set. By the time you purchase the gear housing and the pinion gear, the motor is probably not that far from failing. Save yourself time, and money in the long run and just consider purchasing a complete all new and improved green freezer head with a new motor. It will replace the old cream color and newer green color freezer heads with an 11-5/8" length from tub ear to tub latch. Click Here to view this option.
Note: White Mountain has used rather standard parts from the 70s forward including the later cream and new green color motors. Some of the early model tubs and frame bridges were a bit wider and used a small dasher drive. These parts may not interchange with those earlier models. This gearbox hub has a 1" can drive and a 7/16" dasher drive to fit over the newer 7/8" can lid and 7/16" dasher stem. The older White Mountain Freezers used a 3/8" dasher stem that may still work with this gear housing with some play but it may not fit the older motors. White Moutain used a variation on some of the newer models between 7/16" and 3/8" so the dasher stem may not be exactly 7/16". To verify use a 7/16" open box wrench end and check the fit on the dasher square stud at the bottom of your freezer can. If the 7/16" fits snuggly you have a newer style freezer if a 3/8" open-end wrench fits snuggly you have an older freezer and this housing may not fit your motor.Â
