Description / Amish Furniture-Treadle Sewing Machine Cabinet
Rediscover traditional craftsmanship with this beautifully handcrafted Amish treadle sewing cabinet, designed to fit the modern Janome 712T and many antique Singer 15 Class treadle machines. Built in America using premium solid oak tops and fronts, this Heritage Series reproduction cabinet reflects the quality, durability, and charm of classic sewing furniture while accommodating today’s machines.
Authentic Craftsmanship, Built to Last
Unlike mass-produced alternatives such as the Alphasew treadle cabinet, this cabinet is constructed with meticulous attention to detail. The top, front, and legs are solid hardwood for long-term durability, avoiding the peeling and cracking common in vintage veneer cabinets. The freshly updated open-leg design offers strength with a clean, traditional look.
The cabinet comes standard in medium-stained oak, with natural oak available (allow two additional weeks for custom finishing).
Designed for Modern & Vintage Treadle Machines
Perfectly sized for:
-
Janome 712T treadle machine
-
Most Singer 15 Class machines (please measure your base to confirm fit)
-
Select Singer clones and mechanical treadle-adapted machines
The fold-away platform lets you tuck the machine inside the cabinet, just like the original Singer designs—without the unreliable cable-lift mechanism found in some older cabinets.
This cabinet features round “head hinges” with metal pegs to mount compatible machines securely.
Functional Storage & Thoughtful Layout
Enjoy generous, organized storage with:
-
Six side drawers (12½" L × 3½" W × 3¼" D)
-
Center tilt tray for small notions
-
Smooth-working fold-away machine well
Kneehole space provides comfortable treadling clearance:
~21½" W × 25½" H × 16½" D
Height from treadle top to underside of cabinet: 22½"
Heavy-Duty Treadle Base Included
A powder-coated treadle assembly is included. Instead of cast-iron legs, the cabinet uses stable, solid-wood legs to support smooth, long-lasting treadling.
Shipping & Assembly
Ships UPS in two boxes:
-
Cabinet: 38" × 20" × 20"
-
Treadle: 20" × 14½" × 6"

Optional Add-Ons
-
Universal rubber or leather treadle belt
-
Janome 712T package (U.S. only — Canadian customers may request alternative Goldstar model)

Distance from left base end to outside of handwheel: ≤ 16¼"
The customer is responsible for return shipping if the machine does not fit.
Paul,
Tammy and I want to thank you for going out of your way to getting our sewing machine to us so quickly. Tammy is very pleased with the quality of the cabinet! The fit and finish are top-notch. I did have to file a small corner of wood away so that the sewing machine would fold underneath the table properly, but that corner is out of sight so no one will ever know.
The ironwork for the treadle is exceptional, and everything fit exactly where it should have. The unit is very well built and will easily last several lifetimes!

Paul,
All I can say is that the workmanship on the cabinet is beautiful – outstanding and worth every penny. I must tell you - after the cabinet came ………..you have no idea how impressed I was – the photos online were great – but seeing the real thing – having the cabinet here ………..I feel the photos do not do it justice. The wood is sanded so beautifully and smooth and the corners rounded perfectly. It really is beautiful – a work of art.
