Build this old-fashioned wooden peddler cart with authentic metal wheels on a weekend!
A quaint and unique cart to display flowers and wares. This cart works well as a store display for wines and boxed items where the customer can easily see the items but does not stack up and obscure other products.
This is a low-profile peddler cart that measures 57” L X 30-1/2” W x 35” H- to the top of the handles.
It is a perfect cart for the home flower gardener to display indoor flowers, or build using exterior materials for an outdoor flower cart. The new recycled poly lumber works well with these wheels to make a long-lasting durable outdoor display cart. It will be stout enough to even roll plants in and out of the garage for those unpredictable late frosts.
With a little imagination, this cart could also make a nice magazine rack, end table, or another functional piece of furniture for the home, cabin, or cottage.
Unique axle stubs allow you to modify the width without the worry of the axle length.
Comes with complete step-by-step plans, a material list, and these hard-to-find 24” replica 8 spoke metal wheels.
You may upgrade at the bottom of this product page to 16 spoke wheels, doubling the visual impact of the metal wheels. This upgrade adds to the base price listed above for the 16 spoke wheels.
Unique ½” axle stub system uses ½” rod welded into a short length of channel iron. The channel iron is predrilled to bolt onto the wood box frame.
We have used this kit to build several of these carts and were pleased with how well they came out. They are easy to roll and stout enough to hold up as vendor carts or displays.
The package includes two wheels, axles, complete plans, and material lists. (nuts, bolts, and screws are not included)
The metal wheel and axle will come as raw metal ready to paint or allow to rust naturally for an antique look.
The hardware is made in a small one-man shop, please allow 4-6 weeks for shipping.
