Wagon, Pony, Cart, Metal Axle
Steel axles are designed for use with our wooden spoke roller-bearing wheels, which have a 5" wide hub and require a 3/4" diameter axle. Build wagons, pony carts, and other replica carts and wagons with our wheels and these axles.
The 7/8” square axle is turned down at each end to a ¾” diameter, accepting up to a 3-1/2” wide hub. The threaded portion extends beyond the 3-1/2” on each end. Includes a locking crown nut.
Available in 34” or 42” lengths. Our 5” Hubs are recessed to fit these 3-1/2” axles, allow the nut to be tightened inside the hub, and add a hubcap.

Please expect 2-4 weeks.
As a rule of thumb, you should allow 10” beyond the wagon box width for mounting wheels.
It will require 7/8” axle clips for mounting that are not included, or you may weld your own mounting plates.
