This old-fashioned pottery bowl will bring back many memories. Now you can start your family tradition with this giant 16” pottery bowl. The bowl is hand-turned to a depth of 6-3/4" to 7-1/2".
It is similar to the one my mom used to make her homemade potato salad for large family gatherings. She used it to knead dough and bake cookies as we gathered to help. She even used it to make baked beans and homemade chicken noodle soup. Come to think of it I can not remember too many times that she didn’t have it out in the kitchen to make something for us.

Description / USA Stoneware Pottery | 16 Inch Large Deep Bowl | Blue Stripe
Our 16" bowl measures approximately 16" across, 6-3/4 to 7-1/2" deep, and holds about 44 cups or 11-12 quarts of liquid. (Hand-turned pottery dimensions will vary)
Stoneware is lead-free and microwave-, oven-, and dishwasher-safe. Pottery is durable and functional for everyday use.
The standard color is priced in a blue stripe. You can select other colors using the drop-down menu at the top of the page. Some colors are hand-painted and signed by the artist. Please note: the rooster, red apple, and summer splendor design is a decal and is not hand-painted. The Poppy Seed design will feature flowers in both blue and peach, arranged on opposite sides of the stoneware.
See color samples by clicking to enlarge pictures of various product examples. The white will match the cream color of the blue stripe. Depending on its position in the kiln, the actual white may range from cream to white, with a grayish hue or even a tan/beige cast—another characteristic of old-fashioned hand-turned pottery.
Stoneware can also be personalized for $12 via the drop-down menu at the top of the page. In the comment section at checkout, please leave us what you would like added. Personalized names and messages will be hand-painted.
The standard blue stripe may take 3-4 weeks to ship. Most colors, including white, and personalized items are custom-made to order and may take about 8 weeks to ship.
Stoneware Pottery is USA-made in Texas by a small, family-owned and operated pottery company that has been making quality pottery for over 22 years. Each piece is hand turned by a master potter, hand-painted or finished, and then coated with a lead-free glaze.
Because pottery is hand-turned, dimensions may vary slightly. Stoneware pottery may also develop minor imperfections during firing and glazing. All food contact surfaces are inspected for such imperfections before shipping. The exterior may have imperfections that add to the stoneware's character.
A Note About Shipping Cost
Shipping fragile pottery has become challenging and expensive, especially to the East and West Coasts. The item must be double-boxed or shipped in an oversized box to protect the pottery during transit. Unfortunately, carriers set rates based on the box's overall dimensions. These rates are based on “Dimensional Box Weight” instead of the actual product weight. The shop must also cover the cost of any additional boxes and packing materials, so an extra $5 is included in the overall shipping cost.
We do not believe it is fair to Midwest customers to "pad" product prices to cover shipping to all areas and then make it appear we are offering free or discounted shipping. Therefore, please understand why we charge the shipping we do. We try to keep prices as low as possible, but we also want your new pottery to arrive safely.

16" Mixing Bowl

Wow! I was looking for a 12" bowl, and found this 16" bowl. It is amazing! It is HUGE, sturdy, heavy, well-made, and beautiful! I love this it! I will use it for multiple batch bread dough and cookie dough. However it is really big. If you have a small kitchen, or very little counter, or storage space, you might find it a bit difficult to store. But why hide it? This bowl would be awesome as a centerpiece for a large wood farm table while not in use. Again, I LOVE it! Buy one!

I wanted to let you know my bowl arrived safe and sound today. I am very pleased with it and am looking forward to using it soon. It will be nice to have a heavy bowl that is large enough to make multiple loaves of bread or dozens of cookies without spilling ingredients all over the kitchen. Count me as a satisfied customer.
