USA Stoneware | French Butter Keeper | Butter Dish
This two-part reproduction of an old-fashioned butter bell crock dish was used before refrigeration to keep butter fresh, sitting out on the table or countertop. The top part is stored inverted, with the butter kept inside, and the bottom part is filled with 1-1/2 inches of water with a touch of vinegar to keep the butter fresh.
Stoneware is lead-free! Microwave-, Oven-, and Dishwasher-Safe. The pottery is durable and functional for everyday use.
