Small Dolly Style Aluminum Generator Cart

Really impressed with the design and engineering of this cart. My Honda generator fits perfectly. It will certainly make it easier to move it around. Cost of the cart was reasonable for the quality. Shipping costs reasonable and quick delivery. Love the front swivel wheel with the lock. This accessory is a must to save my back.

Very well made cart. I purchased one for my Honda EU2200i generator and it fits nicely with no room to spare. Exactly as if it was a Honda accessory for this model. I'll use the generator for home backup and events in a nearby street plaza. It will be nice to roll it there on the large wheels and use it without removal from the cart. The cord hooks easily hold a 25' 12-gauge extension cord. And a much longer cord can be wrapped around the handle uprights.

Assembly was straightforward except for pounding on the axel caps. The first is simple enough to do on a workbench or a board on the garage floor. But the second must be done on the cart and you'll need something to keep cap #1 firmly in place. It is recessed in the wheel hub so I taped a small wooden block to it so I could flip the cart on its side to hammer on cap #2.

If you're considering the cart for some other generator note that the one I received is slightly smaller than the stated dimensions. It is 20-1/8" long, not 20-1/2" and it only 12-1/4" wide due to the diagonal brace bolt. You also have to account for the handle mounts on the inside of the cage and the D-shaped curvature of the cage. The EU2200i only fits with the power outlets toward the back because of this.

I just rec’d my gen cart it was even more than expected. It’s everything I thought it should be.
The one concern I have and you should also. It was delivered by I think ups. It was obvious the box was not handled properly and there was some minor damage to the axle bracket and also the axle. I was able to correct these things but it took a lot longer than it should.
I’m very pleased with the cart and this is an fyi only. You may want to speak to the delivery service.

This cart has quality welding and is an easy assembly. And as for the price, equally a top value. I really like not having to lift a 46 pound generator just to move it from the garage to the back of the house where the transfer switch is located. And I no longer have to lift the generator between the truck and the boat for charging boat batteries where electricity doesn’t exist. Now the boat batteries can stay in the boat to get charged. So much less lifting of a heavy generator and heavy batteries.

I just purchased this cart for my Honda EU2200i. Order arrived about 1 week from order date. I had some questions and Paul from Cottage Craftworks was able to answer my question and give some suggestions and recommendation within 2 hours time. Excellent Customer Service.

The right hook to hold extension cords is welded slanted by 10°, which is the only flaw I could find. Even then, I can look past that, as this is a very heavy duty cart. The quality is top-notch. I had 0 issues with installation. All the pieces fit together perfectly.

I was able to hang a 50' 12/3 extension cord & 100' 12/3 extension cord using the 2 hooks welded to the cart. With the cables mounted, I had no issues moving the dolly & cables are about 10" off the ground.

For those wondering, I'm using reels to manage my extension cords. I'm using 28" heavy duty portable extension cord holder with carrying handle and grommet to wrap around the reel. The grommet (silver ring) has a big diameter that fits the cart's hooks with no issues has a lot of room to remove the extension cord with ease. One thing that Paul advise me is that the cart may tip over if the cords are too heavy without the generator mounted to the cart.

I'm definitely purchasing a 2nd cart for my 2nd EU2200i soon. Excellent buy.

I recently purchased this small cart for my Honda 2000 generator. It was shipped quickly and exceeds my expectations in every way.
It is well thought out, easy to assemble and fits the generator very well. The welding and overall craftsmanship is superb. I am very pleased.
