These are among the nicest and most durable products we have ever seen. Amish handcrafted using ¾” poly lumber and Stainless-Steel screws.

The poly lumber also has a smooth, nonporous surface that rinses easily with a bleach solution should mold accumulate, making these pet dishes ideal for interior or exterior use.

Poly lumber is a durable, rot- and UV-resistant, sustainable lumber used for outdoor projects. Unlike wood, it does not dry out or split, and unlike plastic, it will not become brittle and break in frigid temperatures.

The lumber will retain over 95% of its original color, even after long-term exposure to sun and heat. The poly manufacturers all claim it never fades, but over time, we have noticed a very slight fade when new material is installed next to it. By itself in a product like this, you won’t likely be able to see any fading at all.

The lumber color is also impregnated into the recycling process, so it remains a solid color throughout, regardless of scratches, gouges, paw marks, or chewing.
