A cast-aluminum waffle iron with a nonstick coating will deliver excellent results. Makes 7-inch-thick square waffles that break easily into four smaller squares.
Very easy to use: turn the waffle maker over once during the pre-heat stage to ensure it's hot on both sides, and again during the baking process to ensure both sides of the waffle are nicely cooked.
The non-stick coating on the cooking surface makes cleanup easy.
