The MVM-0 0.6-HP Air-Powered Router is the original MVM pneumatic router design. The manufacturer describes this model as a workhorse that has provided hundreds of hours of satisfaction to first-time router users.
Instead of relying on a conventional electric router motor, the MVM-0 operates from compressed air. This makes it particularly useful in Amish cabinet and furniture shops, off-grid woodworking operations and commercial shops already equipped with a suitable compressed-air system.

Compressor Requirements — Important Before Ordering
Unlike an electric router, a pneumatic router requires a compressor capable of continuously supplying sufficient air volume.
The MVM-0 is rated at:

Cottage Craft Works recommends a compressor capable of maintaining at least 20 CFM at 90 PSI.
This is an important distinction when selecting a compressor.
A compressor's tank size alone does not determine whether it can adequately operate the router. The compressor must be able to deliver the required airflow at the required operating pressure.
For a shop where other pneumatic equipment may operate at the same time, the compressor system should be sized for the combined air demand.
Air-line diameter, hose length, fittings, regulators and pressure drop can also affect the amount of air actually reaching the router.
For continuous production use, adequate compressor capacity is particularly important.
