The Large Buckboard Wagon can be used as a functional working wagon to be pulled by goats or other small animal(s). To do so, you will want to upgrade with the metal brace for the gear and the optional hand brake. It is also recommended to upgrade to grease-able wheel bushings if the wagon is to be used routinely as a working wagon.
Optional shafts are available but will have to be shipped by truck freight due to the length, email us for a price quote for the shafts and shipping.
These buckboard wagons are made from ash, hickory, and the bottom is made of poplar. The attention to detail down to the routed design on the box panels is just incredible. This area can be highlighted by an optional pinstripe accent.
Finish options are unfinished as priced. You may add finish options for the wagon to be just stained, varnished, or painted. You may also select a two-step process of having it stained and then varnished.
Varnish or painted options include either two coats of premium commercial two-part urethane exterior grade 3300 varnishes or a coat of primer and a coat of paint. Select options and stain and paint colors using the drop-down boxes. The 3300 varnish provides exceptional protection and is much more expensive than regular varnishes sold in hardware stores.
Wood options include rough cut or premium-grade smooth lumber. Price begins with the rough cut. The rough cut is smooth lumber that will suffice for most outdoor applications. The surface may have a few rough spots caused by blade chatter from the planner. Premium grade makes nice finished store displays or other indoor uses where you want a high-end finished look.
Add a galvanized metal plant liner. This liner will have drain holes for outdoor displays.
The glass top is not listed as an option due to shipping it. Purchase locally from a glass company.
