J&P Coats Reproduction Thread Spool Cabinet Kit
The famous classic J & P Coats thread spool cabinets were used in the general dry goods stores during the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Sewing thread and sewing notions would be displayed in these beautiful countertop cabinets. The cabinets were made in furniture factories using the same mortise-tenon and reverse side panel construction of furniture made during that time.
Thread companies would provide these cabinets mostly for free to stores that sold the threads and sewing items. Traveling salesmen would make frequent visits to restock the cabinets.
