USA Amish-made BioThane® harness set designed for a mini up to 34”-40" or a pony up to 40”-50". May also be ordered for a mule or donkey.

Priced as a mini pony set in a gloss finish. Select pony size using the drop-down box to show the incremental price increase to the pony size. Available in gloss finish as priced or in a semi-gloss finish.

Comes completely standard with lines, bridle, split breast, and stainless-steel hardware. A deep "V" breast option is available for the pony size.

Features all stainless steel hardware, and soft lining for all wear points. The breast collar includes Velcro pad fasteners for our pads. (the pads pictured are not included) See our pad selections to fit our harness sets.

Make selections using the drop-down boxes. Order for mini, pony, or mule-donkey. The mule donkey will have the bridle made for a larger head.

Priced as shiny gloss, use the drop-down box to select a semi-gloss set.

The harness does not include the blue pads shown in the picture. Click on the blue icons to order #105 pony or #106 Mini for the top collar Gig Pad and #212 pony, #214 Mini, Split Breast. The curved and deep V breast pads are not an option unless you want the harness to be custom-made to fit those pads.

Harness ships directly from an Amish shop in Indiana. Allow up to 2 weeks for shipping. Custom options may add 2-3 weeks.

The harness is Amish made using maintenance-free BioThanne® USA material.

Quality Drives Price

You may find cheaper mass-produced “Economy harnesses” made of thinner plastic-coated webbings, equipped with cheaper hardware. An economy harness may just be fine for an occasional hitch-up however, serious horse owner’s dependent on horses for daily use know a quality-made harness is what you pay for. Our Amish shop still makes harnesses the old-fashioned way one harness at a time to last a lifetime. They use original USA BioThane® webbing. Thickness and grades of harness materials are selected based on the expectations that the harnesses will be used by other Amish families for working horses day in and day out.

Extra time is taken to handcraft each harness with rounded strap ends and extra stitching that is pulled tight down into the surface in order to reduce wear points at the stitching. See the standard sewing design picture. The shop uses the highest quality stainless hardware that can be sourced including a quality made in the USA stainless bit. The owner then personally inspects each harness and assigns a serial number before it is shipped. You will find that the attention to detail also provides a more comfortable fitting harness.

The BioThane® company spends countless testing hours to evaluate adhesion to the hand-selected USA-made polyester webbing. Imported plastic-coated webbings have high failure rates under tension and become brittle in cold weather. Thickness and grades of harness materials are selected based on the expectations that the harnesses will be used by other Amish families for working horses day in and day out with a lighter duty harness designed for weekend pleasure trips to shopping and church.
