The open back as priced is the same drainboard without the back-matching lip on the sides. Selecting the closed-back will add to the price above.

Washing oversized stockpots and pans just may not be practical unless you also have a large commercial-size drainboard attached to the sink.

Residential sinks just do not provide the space to maneuver and wash those oversized pots and pans.

There is just no space to let large pots, pans, and cooking utensils air dry without getting water all over your new beautiful granite countertops, down onto the cabinet fronts, and then out onto the floor.

Drainboards are once again becoming popular for single people who just don't create enough dishes to fill a dishwasher.

Our Amish-made drainboard sits next to your sink allowing all the water to quickly drain back into the sink. The drainboard is universal to fit either the right or left sides of a kitchen sink.

There's no need to have it attached, it is heavy enough to stay in place, yet it is easy to move and clean underneath.

Use it flat or add a dish rack, either way, all the excess water drains back into the sink. (Dish rack is not included)

Use it to drain off washed vegetables; it is just like having an extra sink.

If you do a lot of large batch cooking or canning and you have room on both sides of your sink, considering buying two of these, you will be glad you did.

A nice but functional item to have in the kitchen to air-dry large commercial size pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils. Heavy-duty drainboard is right at home with the new style commercial kitchen look. Use on all types of countertops and with all types of kitchen sinks.

Drainboard measures 20-1/2" x 18-1/4" and tilts from 1-3/4" down to the sink. The 1-3/4" is the back leg measured from the counter to the bottom of the drainboard. With the back lip included the drainboard measures 2-1/2" from the counter to the top back edge. The 20-1/2" measurement is from the drain out at the sink edge back away from the sink. The 18-1/4" measurement is the front to the back of the counter. Measurements may vary slightly during the forming process.

The top half of the drainboard provides a clear 16" X 18" for most size drain racks with room to place longer items on the side. A longer drain rack can still be centered between the taper down. The drain part tapers down to 10-3/4".

Powder coating is a durable baked-on finish that will last for years. It is being used on outdoor equipment and vehicles. It is scratch-resistant and easy to keep clean. (Although metal utensils should not be dropped from high above onto the surface as chipping might occur exposing bare metal, just as a baked-on finish used on kitchen sinks and appliances). Just as other kitchen appliances, if cared for, this drainboard will stay looking new and will likely be the last one that you will ever need to buy.
