Build Your Own Country 8-QT Ice Cream Freezer With Premium Parts
The Country 8-QT Hit & Miss Freezer Parts Kit is a complete solution for building or upgrading a vintage-style ice cream freezer with dependable performance and robust components. Whether you’re working with a classic 3/4 HP hit-n-miss engine or adapting a modern 2–2.5 HP gas or electric motor, this kit gives you everything needed to create a well-balanced, long-lasting machine that produces rich, creamy homemade ice cream.
Designed for serious DIY builders and ice cream hobbyists, this parts kit comes with a CF08 Country Freezer can and pulley, heavy-duty stainless hardware, pillow block bearings, jack shafts, pulleys, and a premium link belt — all engineered for smooth, dependable operation.
The antique 3/4 HP Maytag engines generally run at 400-500 RPM, whereas the newer 2- to 2-1/2 HP gas engines and a 3/4 HP electric motor can generate around 3400-3600 RPM. In order to reach the desired 40-50 RPM at the freezer pulley with this kit, you will need to reduce the RPM coming off a newer motor using some type of gear reduction box down to the 400-500 RPM range to use it with this kit to avoid damage to the gears and or personal injury. (A reduction gearbox is not included.) The 1-1/2 & 3 HP Hit-n-Miss engines are too strong for this kit and should not be attempted.

2 x 4” SS Hinges for dump platform
1 x 5/8” SS Jack Shaft with Belt Tightener
2 x 5/8” Pillow Block Bearings
1 x 2.5” x 5/8” Bore Small Jack Shaft Pulley (Steel)
1 x Large Jack Shaft Pulley 12” x 5/8” Bore (Steel)
1 x 66” Link-Belt (Goes from small Jack Shaft Pulley to Freezer)
1 x AX63 V-Belt (Goes from engine pulley (not included) to large Jack Shaft Pulley
