24 Inch Wooden Spoke Cannon Wheel
Use these 24" wheels to build 7/16 scaled replica cannons and reenactment supply carts. Wheels are made from 1-1/8” diameter hickory spokes and steam-bent hickory rounds mounted to an ash hub with a 7/8” diameter axle hole providing a weight capacity of 150 lbs. Suitable for ornamental and working cannons.
Wheels will require bored hubs and metal bushings installed if the wheels are to be used as working wagon wheels pulled over distances.
Metal tire rim made from 3/16” steel 1-1/4” wide.
The wheels are unfinished. Please expect 2-4 weeks.

These wheels are structurally as strong as the authentic wood-spoke wheels. They will be rougher-grade wood, more suitable for ornamental and rustic applications than for a premium-grade furniture stain-and-varnish project. You may need to add filler in some areas and perform additional sanding if you plan to paint or finish them.
