Horse Carriage 12-volt Battery Level Gauge
Marine-grade Euro-style black 12-volt battery level gauge indicator meter. Used in Amish carriages and buggies to verify battery levels for night lighting, safety flashers, and indicator turn signals during daytime travels. More than a digital display, this battery level indicator reads like a gas gauge, showing battery level from empty to full and indicating when it is adequately charged, so carriage owners are not caught out in the dark on busy highways.
The Amish could use less expensive battery indicators. Still, when the safety and welfare of placing the entire family in a slow-moving carriage are at stake, they choose this model.

Description / Horse Carriage 12-volt Battery Level Gauge
Mounts in a 2-1/4” dash hole. Hooks to positive and negative 12-Volt systems only using standard insulated 18AWG wiring or heavier. Use a 1-amp fuse inline to the battery. Recommend an inline switch, such as a toggle or momentary pushbutton, to keep the meter off when the carriage is idle.
The gauge provides a notification when the battery is being charged.
