Description / Garden Line Row Builder
Row builders have become very popular, especially in early spring. You should expect shipping to take 2-4 weeks through April, then 4-8 weeks as the spring planting season is in full swing. This depends on the shop's ability to maintain sufficient raw materials and parts to fill orders amid supply chain shortages. If you really want one, it is probably best to place an order and be in line, as the parts that trickle in go to backorders, and the cycle starts over.
Hillers can be adjusted out on the 60" toolbar as far as the inside wheel width of most tractors. The hillers can also be adjusted closer together to make smaller-width hills. Several factors, including tilling depth, soil type, and speed, determine Hill height. The faster the row builder is pulled, the more dirt it will mound up.
The 14" hiller disc uses greasable bearings. Upgrade to roller bearings using the drop-down box.
The toolbar will fit standard 3-Point Cat 1 Hitch, 3/4" pins, or a standard quick hitch with 26 1/2" I.D. (See Diagram Picture).
The picture on the bottom, far right, shows our new optional Row Opener. It attaches to the back of the toolbar and allows you to hill and open the row in one sweep. You can order sweeps from 4" to -10" wide. Click Here for more information and to order the Row Opener.
For larger gardens and tractors with 25-50 HP, we offer a heavy-duty Row Builder with a 16" disc. Click Here to see more on the Heavy Duty Row Maker.
A word on Shipping: The toolbar may arrive with scratches. It would be cost-prohibitive or require truck freight at double the cost to ship if they were to be boxed. Shipping is already expensive due to the toolbar length. Sorry to our Canadian customers, but for this reason, we do not ship these to Canada.
FedEx and UPS now use algorithms that apply surcharges to specific locations, which are not always reflected in the shipping calculator. For the most part, the shipping calculator is accurate, but occasionally, we find that shipping to some Western states results in unexpected shipping rates. If this is the case, we may need to contact the customer for additional shipping.
The toolbar will ship unboxed via FedEx on its own truck, and the other parts will likely ship on a separate truck. The row builders are extremely popular, and we have shipped 100s of toolbars this way for many years. For the most part, they arrive in good condition. You should expect paint scratches from frequent loading and unloading, but because they are made of heavy steel, these scratches will not affect performance or structural integrity.
If you would prefer to have it shipped by truck freight, please email us for a shipping quote. The color is IHC Red, which is available in most implement and farm stores for touch-ups as needed. They will likely be scratched when the shanks are moved back and forth. FedEx does not recognize or reimburse for scratches unless the toolbar is bent, which has never occurred.
