Made entirely from aluminum, this rack is likely to outlast its predecessors because it does not absorb moisture from wet clothes and become moldy like the old wooden dowel racks.
This is not a lightweight aluminum import; hence, the higher price compared to other online products. While the imported racks will likely end up in landfills in a few years, this folding aluminum drying rack is designed for heavy-duty laundry drying. It is USA-made by the Amish for large families and other homestead drying needs. It uses .090-thick 5/8” rods and 1” square tubing.
