Hand Push Wheeled Garden-Yard-Farm sprayers

Well-built commercial grade 12-Volt wheeled sprayers provide easy rolling garden-yard-farm sprayer for small and large areas where tractors won’t work.

Sprayers are built like a pull behind except they have large tires and a handle to push over rough terrain allowing them to carry 10-16-gallon sprayer tank sizes.

Lightweight but strong welded aluminum tubing provides a solid frame for years of commercial and domestic uses.

Onboard battery tray and alligator clips allow deep-cycle 12-volt marine battery with a poly battery box to be used.

Fold out front boom allows wide swathes to be sprayed at one time.  A 10-gal sprayer will do a 42” wide row while a 16-gallon sprayer will do up to 8’ wide in a single pass.

Wand attachment allows spraying up to 10’ tall from a standing position.

Sprayers are being used for other non-chemical use for watering plants, applying nonflammable floor cleaners, as spot sprayers for fire safety around burning brush and open flame outdoor events.

Cottage Craft Works is a full line general store full of unique hard to find Amish products for the home, farm, and garden

Equine Ranch | Oat Crimpers | Manure Spreaders | Tack

When it comes to horses, the Amish make and use the highest quality tack, equine oat rollers, crimpers, manure spreaders and Ferrier supplies.

Let’s just say this unique online store specializes in Amish-made equine products to cover from the head to tail and everything equine related in-between.

Cottage Craft Works.com has been providing high-quality Amish made equine products and equipment for over a decade.

Most can quickly find Amish made furniture and quilts online but when it comes to equine equipment most just click and review the popup ads or first well-published links and never really consider or know Amish manufactured high-quality equine products even exists for the non-Amish ranchers.

Compact Manure Spreaders

The Amish E-Z manure spreader is made of the highest quality and heaviest material of any manure spreader on the market.  Just compare the overall weights and you will realize just how heavy duty the Amish are making the E-Z manure spreaders.  Heavier duty web chains, gears, sprockets and thicker metals make the E-Z manure spreaders a longer-term investment at near the same cost of the cheaper made spreaders.

Available online in 25 and 30-bushel compact manure spreader models, Cottage Craft Works can also provide the larger 75-bushel models in either two and four wheel styles.

All E-Z spreaders are ground driven and available in air tire or old-fashioned steel wheeled. E-Z spreaders can be equipped for equine use.  The E-Z spreaders are in use coast to coast in the US and have even shipped down to Australia.

Oat Crimpers

Cottage Craft Works is one of only a couple sources providing oat crimpers, also known as oat rollers, for stable side oat crimping which provides the most nutritional benefits when they are crimped fresh.  The larger CCW #3 crimper can crimp 50 lbs. of oats in just about on minute and will also crack corn and other hard grains like barley for other livestock.

Crimped oats also take less to feed in a day than non-crimped oats making these really a great investment with a short return on investment over buying crimped oats from a feed store.

Just like the Amish made manure spreaders the Amish made oat crimpers as also built well to last over the long haul using heavy duty harden rollers and machine hardware.  Most commonly ordered with an electric motor the oat crimpers can be equipped with a Honda gas engine.

Harness and Harness Pads

From show horses to draft horses Cottage Craft Works has you covered with high-quality Amish made harnesses using BioThane®. Developed in 1977 this tough material provides flexible high-performance harnesses in all types of weather and temperatures where traditional leather harnesses can become a problem.

Amish made horse pads protect the horse at critical rub points where direct horse harness contact can quickly create sores.  Horse harness and collar pads are available in a variety of styles, sizes, and finishes.

These pads are made for hard working show and draft horses.

Farrier Horseshoeing Tools

Cottage Craft Works offers a full line of farrier tools that are both durable but also economical for the large scale and hobby equine ranchers.

These horseshoeing tools were developed and are being imported by a third-generation Amish owned shop with the highest longstanding integrity of providing only quality Ferrier tools to other Amish people.  The concept of selling them to non-Amish as another source was never considered a revenue stream.  This takes away the corporate concepts of making things as cheaply as possible just to market products to the masses for the highest profit margin.

The Amish depend on their horses and farrier tools as their main mode of transportation and means to plant and harvest their crops. They just don’t have time to tolerate inferior tools or equipment.

Cottage Craft Works.com is a full line old fashioned general store located all online for your shopping experience.  It’s like taking a trip back in time where American made quality products and ingenuity were the backbones of the USA.

From A-Z you will find old-fashioned vintage products still being made and used just like they were at the turn of the Century.

USA Non-GMO Organic Grains Use Ancient Growing Methods

Learn why people are seeking out Amish grown grains for their pure ancient growing methods. The Amish have practiced farm stewardship for generations.

It has not been scientifically studied but, many believe that the Amish organic grown grain products simply taste better and have higher levels of nutritional benefits garnered from the rich naturally enriched soils they grow in.

Many of the Amish farms have been in the same family dating back long before chemicals and genetically altered seeds were ever developed.  Most of the wheat and spelt seeds have been harvested with the annual crops for next year’s planting season keeping the seeds classified as ancient varieties passed down from previous generations.

This takes a lot of willpower considering the small crop sizes that they can grow using only a team of draft horses and small one man horse pulled equipment.  It would seem tempting to cash in for all they can get out of the harvest after all the hard manual labor that it takes to grow a crop.

Many seek out Amish grown grains and stone ground flour as a hard to find premium returning time after time for more.

A trip to the Amish communities in early spring will quickly give you a clue in the smell of fresh manure that the Amish take their organic crop management very serious.

Despite their rather backward ways, the Amish are very sophisticated when it comes to low gluten alternatives and the increased reported nutritional values of sprouted grains.

Ancient spelt, and einkorn wheat along with oat grains is one way they support a low gluten diet. Although they still process with wheat in the same mill, these grains can be better tolerated by a gluten sensitive person.

Sprouted grains such as wheat, spelt, and oats are stone ground into flour or rolled into cereals.

Both Amish grain berries and flour are available from Cottage Craft Works.com. Some people purchase the grain berries and then grind into flour just before baking to obtain the most nutritional value. Grain and flour products are organically grown and ship fresh from an Amish farm in Ohio and certified organic by the Ohio Ecological Food & Farm Association (OEFFA)

Most purchase the stone ground flour that is also processed on an Amish farm in Ohio. Cottage Craft Works mostly sells grain berries and flour in 25 lb. bags. Starting out you may want to split with some family and friends but you might be surprised just how quickly you can use 25 lbs. when you really begin to enjoy these Amish varieties of grains.  Many families reorder every quarter.

Avid bakers really enjoy the vast selections of Amish organic flour from Cottage Craft Works. Options include different wheat varieties including ancient kinds of wheat, buckwheat, oat, spelt, and sorghum flour.  They carry white and golden white pastry flours as well as a fine white pastry flour.

Cottage Craft Works also carries rolled oats, rolled spelt, spelt bran as well as puffed cereals and breakfast mixes in quantities as low as 10 lbs.

The Amish are very resourceful and mechanical inclined to build their own machinery. The puffed cereals are shot from an Amish made cannon right on the Amish farm.

Honey Puffed Corn

Honey Puffed Corn

This is not some Amish guy standing behind a cannon and shooting grain out on the ground, rather it is a very sophisticated machine that holds the grain in a long tube shaped pot.  The grain is heated very like popcorn until it reaches a certain temperature to pop the kernels open.  When that temperature is reached, it builds up the pressure and shoots the puffed grain out into a holding container to be scooped and bagged.  The sound is very much like a cannon going off. Puffed cereals include honey puffed spelt, honey puffed corn, and honey puffed rice.

This old-fashioned puffing process may be remembered by those growing up in the 50s and 60s when the Quaker puffed wheat cereal commercials talked about being shot from a cannon.

Compact Manure Spreaders | Horse Equipment | Heavy Duty

Manure Spreader

Get nearly twice the quality in a compact manure spreader for your money. E-Z Amish USA made compact manure spreaders are built using heavier materials.

E-Z spreaders use thicker metal sides, oversized gears, sprockets, heavier drive chains, and direct drive linkages on all their spreaders. EZ-spreaders weigh almost twice the weight over the competition yet are small and compact to pull with a compact tractor or ATV making them perfect for the small to large size equestrian horse and cattle ranch.

How and why do they do it in a time when companies are scrambling to cut cost?  E-Z spreaders are simply Amish made by people still living the simple life who still build things to last.

The Amish are not driven by corporate shareholder interest, don’t believe in flashy marketing budgets, and therefore just don’t need to add all that extra cost into the product.  They also don’t employ an army of staff. The EZ-Spreaders are built in a small Amish shop in Ohio where the shop owner still does much of the welding and assembly to ensure a quality product.

While others have cheapened down the quality for their drive control linkages to engage the roller chain and auger, some even going to a cable drive, E-Z spreaders still use heavy duty ratchet handles and direct connect linkages just like were used on the original patterns from the old New Idea spreaders being used at the turn of the Century.

Just compare the materials used in the E-Z spreaders.  In the thickness of the metal, 11-gauge steel compared to 13 or even 14 gauge on the competitors.  A thicker 1 3/8” axle over a 1 ¼” on the competitors and a #50 T-Rod Web roller chain while others use just a standard #50 and even a #40 roller chain.

E-Z spreaders are available in a 25, 30, 55 and 75-bushel spreader. Because the Amish still use horses for their farming E-Z spreaders can also be ordered with steel wheels and hitch hardware.

Spreaders may be equipped with a fines pan for use with sawdust and wood chip manure beddings that will not work with a traditional manure spreader made to spread straw based manure.

Spreaders are ground driven in two and four wheel models.  Poly lumber is used on the floor while steel or poly sides are available on the larger models.

E-Z spreaders are designed to make them easy to maintain. The Amish still build things to use themselves or to sell to another Amish.  They go to extra efforts to make things for easy use and maintenance such as adding tube linked grease zerks and brackets into easy to reach areas eliminating the need to crawl up and under the spreader to reach critical lubrication areas.

Because they are not on every Ad post during searches for compact manure spreaders E-Z spreaders just maybe the best kept secret and are not as well publicized as the competition.

Cottage Craft Works.com is your online source for the 25 and 30-bushel manure spreaders. Designed for the small hobby farms and ranches, these compact manure spreaders are easy to maneuver into and out of small stables and corrals.  Measuring only 3’ tall they are sized to be easily filled by hand shoveling or small compact tractor loaders.

Cottage Craft Works.com is a unique online general store featuring many hard to find old-fashioned quality Amish made products, goods, and wares for the home, farm, and ranch.

Cottage Craft Works carries Amish made harnesses and bridles as well as pads and tack for show and draft horses.

If you’re interested in the compact manure spreaders you might also like to know that Cottage Craft Works carries heavy duty Amish made oat crimper rollers.

The larger CCW #3 oat crimper will crimp 50 lbs. of oats in just about a minute and even crack corn, barley and other hard grains for other livestock feeds.

Crimped oats have reportedly provided better nutrition and equine digestion over non-crimped oats.

Crimping the oat kernel slightly breaks open the hard outer shell exposing the inside for easier absorption and digestion.

Freshly crimping the oats at the stable side just before feeding provides the highest level of nutrition rather than feed previously crimped oats from a feed store.

The return on investment for a crimper is also rather substantial as it takes less crimped oats to feed per day as it does for non-crimped oats.

Amish Made Products

Old-fashioned online General Store offers Amish-made products, handcrafted goods, and wares from over 100 Amish shops and factories across the USA.

Many know of the Amish for their beautiful handcrafted furniture, quilts, and wooden crafts.  What most don’t realize is that the Amish are still making the old vintage non-electric products and goods that were being used at the turn of the Century.

These old-time products are still available online at Cottage Craft Works .com an online general store filled with hard to find vintage products being made and used by the Amish.

From solid wood, Amish, handcrafted furniture, retro vintage kitchen wares, to Amish organically grown grains and flour you will find it in this refreshing trip back in time when quality USA made products were made to last a lifetime and beyond.

While many marvels over and collect these vintage antiques, the Amish are still hard at work in their small shops and factories continuing to make these old-time products to support their continued horse and buggy lifestyle.

As the country rebuilt from the Great Depression and electricity became readily available a great shift in the types of products in demand also began to occur.

The country moved forward but the Amish way of life stood fast.  The old-fashioned off-grid products the Amish so depended on to support them soon began to be no longer available.

The Amish are very industrious and great business minded people so many began to either make those products again from the patterns and molds being discarded or they contracted with companies to continue making them for just the Amish people.

Even the Janome sewing machine company makes a treadle sewing machine for the Amish communities.  It has crossed over to become popular with non-Amish women who claim that it is easier to control the speed than their electric sewing machines.

People living around or within driving distance to the main Amish communities in Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, have purchased Amish made products for years because of the quality and durability they offer.

It was not really until the Y2K that the buy Amish products phenomenon really began to materialize.  Before then it was simply buying American made to protest the massive loss of American jobs and the lacking quality of imported products.

The Y2K fear of losing grid power was a real concern of many who sought out the Amish off-gird products to prepare for possibly the worse.

Even though the clock struck midnight on the year 2000 and the world woke up just like another day, the discovery of just how well the Amish products worked brought on a new wave of people looking for the Amish American made products.

The reality of losing grid power for extended periods has materialized on smaller scales from more frequent catastrophic storms.  The threat of terrorism or an attack on our grid is still very real.

Adding into the blend to be less dependent on the grid and modern day products is a strong desire to escape the fast pace lifestyle and return to a simpler time.

Others looking to find safer food supplies are unearthing back yard lawns and turning them into vegetable gardens. They are finding the cheaply made imported garden tools are just not worthy of serious gardening to support a large family so they too are in search of American Amish made tools.

The proliferation of fast and prepared foods is taking a toll on our overall health. Cooking from scratch using all natural chemical free ingredients as the Amish still do is becoming very desirable making Amish made kitchen wares, products, and Amish organically grown foods also desirable.  Especially, when cooking for large families as the Amish do.

While most people won’t go back to the horse and buggy for transportation, do away with air conditioning, or even do away with television, the other aspects of living the simple life are gaining traction.

Most just want to once again have the opportunity to purchase an American made product that they can depend on for a lifetime as early generations were able to do.

The Stevens family founders of Cottage Craft Works searched long and hard for over 30 years to find quality Amish made products for their own use and now offer these hard to find oddities via their online general store at www.cottagecraftworks.com

Many of these Amish products are not available on the mainstream Internet or anywhere else. Cottage Craft Works has developed exclusive relationships with several Amish shop owners to supply unique products for them.

Products such as the folding Singer Featherweight reproduction card tables and J & P Coats thread spool cabinet were developed by Paul Stevens and then contracted with an Amish shop to build for just for Cottage Craft Works customers.
