Compact Manure Spreaders | Horse Equipment | Heavy Duty

Manure Spreader

Get nearly twice the quality in a compact manure spreader for your money. E-Z Amish USA made compact manure spreaders are built using heavier materials.

E-Z spreaders use thicker metal sides, oversized gears, sprockets, heavier drive chains, and direct drive linkages on all their spreaders. EZ-spreaders weigh almost twice the weight over the competition yet are small and compact to pull with a compact tractor or ATV making them perfect for the small to large size equestrian horse and cattle ranch.

How and why do they do it in a time when companies are scrambling to cut cost?  E-Z spreaders are simply Amish made by people still living the simple life who still build things to last.

The Amish are not driven by corporate shareholder interest, don’t believe in flashy marketing budgets, and therefore just don’t need to add all that extra cost into the product.  They also don’t employ an army of staff. The EZ-Spreaders are built in a small Amish shop in Ohio where the shop owner still does much of the welding and assembly to ensure a quality product.

While others have cheapened down the quality for their drive control linkages to engage the roller chain and auger, some even going to a cable drive, E-Z spreaders still use heavy duty ratchet handles and direct connect linkages just like were used on the original patterns from the old New Idea spreaders being used at the turn of the Century.

Just compare the materials used in the E-Z spreaders.  In the thickness of the metal, 11-gauge steel compared to 13 or even 14 gauge on the competitors.  A thicker 1 3/8” axle over a 1 ¼” on the competitors and a #50 T-Rod Web roller chain while others use just a standard #50 and even a #40 roller chain.

E-Z spreaders are available in a 25, 30, 55 and 75-bushel spreader. Because the Amish still use horses for their farming E-Z spreaders can also be ordered with steel wheels and hitch hardware.

Spreaders may be equipped with a fines pan for use with sawdust and wood chip manure beddings that will not work with a traditional manure spreader made to spread straw based manure.

Spreaders are ground driven in two and four wheel models.  Poly lumber is used on the floor while steel or poly sides are available on the larger models.

E-Z spreaders are designed to make them easy to maintain. The Amish still build things to use themselves or to sell to another Amish.  They go to extra efforts to make things for easy use and maintenance such as adding tube linked grease zerks and brackets into easy to reach areas eliminating the need to crawl up and under the spreader to reach critical lubrication areas.

Because they are not on every Ad post during searches for compact manure spreaders E-Z spreaders just maybe the best kept secret and are not as well publicized as the competition.

If you’re interested in the compact manure spreaders you might also like to know that Cottage Craft Works carries heavy duty Amish made oat crimper rollers.

The larger CCW #3 oat crimper will crimp 50 lbs. of oats in just about a minute and even crack corn, barley and other hard grains for other livestock feeds.

Crimped oats have reportedly provided better nutrition and equine digestion over non-crimped oats.

Crimping the oat kernel slightly breaks open the hard outer shell exposing the inside for easier absorption and digestion.

Freshly crimping the oats at the stable side just before feeding provides the highest level of nutrition rather than feed previously crimped oats from a feed store.

The return on investment for a crimper is also rather substantial as it takes less crimped oats to feed per day as it does for non-crimped oats.
