Description / Heavy Duty Apple Grinder
Superior Grinding Performance
At the heart of the grinder is our exclusive “Apple Eater” drum, made from hard maple with eight rows of stainless-steel teeth (5¼") embedded into the surface. The solid wooden drum measures 5⅝" x 6¼", mounted on a ¾" hardened steel shaft (20" long) and secured with a steel pin.
This heavy-duty, maintenance-free design quickly turns a box of apples into perfect, easily pressed pulp.
Tested and Proven: Extracts more juice with less effort, leaving you with naturally sweet cider that’s free of seed or stem bitterness.
(Note: The current drum may not fit older Pioneer models with wooden side frames.)
Why We Use Hard Maple — Not Plastic
Some manufacturers use polypropylene drums, claiming they’re “bacteria-free.” But our solid hard maple drums are just as sanitary — and far more durable.
Unlike plastic drums (often hollow and glued together), our solid maple drums are double-sealed with EZ-DO, creating a smooth, protective coating that resists moisture and cracking. Over time, polypropylene drums can soften and break down under torque, leading to leaks or failure.
Our hard maple drums stay solid, spin stronger, and last for decades.
Optional Cast-Iron Flywheel & Maple Handle (not required if you plan on using the motor kit)
The optional grinder’s cast-iron flywheel delivers consistent power and stability while grinding, using centrifugal force to keep apples feeding smoothly through the teeth. Heavy and efficient, it requires less effort per turn — so you can process large batches with ease.
Each unit features a soft maple handle, designed for comfort and durability to last a lifetime.
