Buckboard Wagon Seat Hardware Irons
Sold in pairs to build or refurbish one seat.
Seat rail irons and seat back braces for the reproduction or rehabilitation of horse-drawn vehicle wagons and buckboard seats. Use fixed-base wagon seats without seat springs.
Many wagons and buckboard seats are fastened directly to the wagon box or floor using a seat base without wagon seat springs. This may have been a budgetary issue, a cultural influence, or just the lack of availability of the hardened leaf springs used by other wagon builders.

Description / Buckboard Wagon Seat Hardware Irons
For the arm rails, choose either the 110B rail brace with a bent seat contour or the 110FB flat rail brace. These are the fastening arms that extend from the sides, in front of the seat, to secure the seat arm rails—pictured with the bent seat contour brace, which fastens to the bottom sides of the seat with round back braces.
For the seat back braces, choose between a flat seat back brace 111FB commonly used for lazy back seats, or a ½” round seat back brace 111RB that makes a nice visual transition from the round-arm rails.
